The Quraysh plotted to kill the Prophet PBUH and to put an end to his message. They come to Abu Bakr’s home searching for him but find no one. The Prophet PBUH had been previously informed of the plot by God and instead asked Ali to take his place knowing that he would not be harmed. The Prophet PBUH then left for Yathrib.
