The Prophet ( PBUH ) confronts the men who were absent from the battles by claiming to be ill. The Prophet forgives them all and yet Ka’ab tells the truth despite everyone telling him not to and his people ostracise him. King Ghassan sees this as a means of breaking the bonds of the Prophet’s circle and seeks out Ka’ab to betray the Prophet as a means of revenge.
