Omar Series

For the first time in Spanish, the series is based on the life of Omar ibn al-Khattab (also spelled 'Umar', c. 583–644), the second Caliph of Islam, and depicts his life from 18 years old until the moments of his death.

  • Episode 25: Ameer ul Mu'mineen (The Leader of the Believers)

    Muslim armies suffer a loss against the Persians in the Battle of the Bridge. The daily workings of the khalifa of Omar رضي الله عنه serving the people of Madinah. A new king emerges in the Persian kingdom

  • Episode 26: Damascus

    Omar رضي الله عنه judges and resolves disputes among the people of Madinah on issues without clear rulings in the Qur'an. Abu Ubaidah ibn Jarrah رضي الله عنه and Khalid ibn Walid رضي الله عنه learn of a golden opportunity to cross the guarded walls of Damascus.

  • Episode 27: The Battle of Al-Qadisiyyah

    Omar رضي الله عنه deploys an armies led by Saad ibn Abi Waqas رضي الله عنه and Al-Qaʿqāʿ ibn ʿAmr to fortify the Muslim armies in a major battle agains the Sassanid Persians in the Battle of Al-Qadisiyyah.

  • Episode 28: Jerusalem

    The Battle of Al-Qadisiyyah continues. A promise by the Prophet ﷺ to Suraqah ibn Malik رضي الله عنه comes true. The patriarch of Jerusalem requests that Omar رضي الله عنه, himself visit the city to finalize a peace agreement.

  • Episode 29: The Year of Famine

    Omar رضي الله عنه visits the site where the Prophet ﷺ visited on his night journey and orders the construction of Masjid Al Aqsa. Amr ibn Al As رضي الله عنه speaks to the khalifa on expanding to Egypt. A famine affects the inhabitants of Madinah.

  • Episode 30: Egypt; The Plague of Amwas

    With the leadership of companions like Amr ibn Al As رضي الله عنه, the Muslims continue expanding to Egypt. A plague spreads through the Muslim world taking the lives of some of the dearest companions of the Prophet ﷺ.

  • Episode 31: The Passing of Al-Farooq

    The Omar Ibn Khattab Series concludes with the final days and tragic end to the life of a giant in Islamic history.
