Khabab was a slave who was taken in by Umm Ammar. He tells her of how he reached Mecca and became a slave at the hands of a tribe that attacked his village. Umm Ammar has him trained in sword-making and arranges for Khabab to open a forge for him to run. Khabab became frustrated with the corrupted ways of the Quraysh and joined the Prophet PBUH and his message of the goodness of Allah.
